You would have to compare the amount of memory and storage attached to both systems for an proper cost comparison.

This didn't stop you from making this statement previously:

NASA Ames is probably going to have a faster 10240 CPU Altix system installed up and running before then for about half the price. It is amazing how much more efficient a similar goal can be achieved when you think things out and utilize commercially available components instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with a one-of-a-kind Spruce Goose style monument to government waste.

So when confronted with a reference that shows your mistatement regarding the comparitive cost,

The computer costs an estimated $160 million through the Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement II vehicle, although leasing arrangements and reuse of existing equipment will cut NASA’s initial investment to about $45 million.,

you choose to back peddle instead of acknowledging your mistake.
