Nice to see you reply to someone here. Hopefully the cry babies will realize that you will/do answer.......But have no time for whiners. with their nonsense.

We do not receive or store any credit card information on iHub. All transactions take place directly between the user and Verisign.

Is a phone call required to change one's payment credit card information? Or is there a link to doing that here?
in the prior 2 weeks only1 (I went back and looked because her warning was so surprising)
Then 2 were deleted and I got a warning that I was very close to being restricted. That was it -- unfortunately I didn't see that warning.
That next day she deleted I'm guessing around 6 (they are gone now). The infractions were very minor as I tend to be more nuanced than those attacking me. If I were a moderator (and I have been) I would not have deleted several of them. If I recall correctly those attacking me(and they are vicious on that board) were not deleted. It was obvious she was watching me closely to find violations.
The IHUB admin never replied. That's what I've been saying here. From THE FIRST TIME I questioned the restriction I received no reply.
Try cleaning out your mailbox.
I'm curious as to how many posts were deleted. Then how many times did you PM IHub admin before they stopped replying.
yep. I agree. That poster probably claimed I made a sexist comment and that initiated a microscopic view the next day, which unfortunately was one where I posted more than usual...not having even seen the warning sent to me - my mailbox almost always says 99+ so the only way I would see a warning is if I clicked on my mailbox frequently.. that is something that no doubt has caused a lot of people to feel unfairly treated - their warning system needs to be changed so that a user is guaranteed to see it
And that is what I'm saying. The Admins do not have the time to read the back and forth posts to really understand what was happening. In the meantime, some poster on that board slaps a TOU on you that the Admin investigates and bam, you're in the penalty box. Now, you can see, how infinitely limited iHub is.
Thanks. Yes, I received zero replies. I sent The first message soon after I discovered the restriction. Then I guess a couple within three or four days of that after I had not received a reply. And then probably two or three more in the next three weeks or so as I thought of different angles and I wanted to at least find out when the restriction might be lifted . But all of them were polite and seeking an understanding. All were ignored.
I may be making too much of the”ugly” word, but since perhaps that word is a trigger word for some people, I want to say that I have a philosophy that everybody Is beautiful in their own way, And that I love women. I just didn’t like this particular poster and found her treatment of me to be very distasteful as she primarily responded to all of my posts by saying I’m a liar. That’s an ugly attitude in my mind so I chose that word, but I certainly didn’t wish it to be offensive to anyone else. Again, I don’t know if that was the issue, but I do wonder since that was the post that prompted the warning
Again, to be clear, I never said that woman was ugly. I said that she always had treated me in an ugly way.
May I ask how many replies you have received with this Admin? It doesn't really matter because I find that the Admins do as they please. The real problem with the Admins is that they are not on the granular level of the Mod and don't have the time to get into the weeds of the posts.
For instance, a few years ago I was banned on one board for almost a year. Some person made a funny comment that he was tall and thin like the ET coming
off the Close Encounters ship. I returned the post and wrote something like, "Oh that is funny for you to look like ET!"
Wham! Within minutes I was banned for 30 days. Then a procession of ten posts had to follow within the 30 days that I understood the rules. Unfortunately I wound up in the hospital a couple of days later and I could not get out of jail without those ten succeeding posts.
So, my point to you is -iHub is just a limited information vehicle.
Ha ha, I suppose. But the consequences to me are real and ongoing. I find the “until further notice” part of it to be justified only if my violations were severe, Yet, in my mind, my violations were very minor.
It is kind of like a paranormal experience because it is if the admin was exceedingly offended by something while im left in the dark as to what it was.
A possibility is that she was very offended by the post that prompted her to warn me. She may have thought it was sexist I do not believe it was sexist, but she may have taken great offense nonetheless. I suggested this to her and tried to explain my viewpoint as just a statement of truth about how I was being treated by a certain poster (i had referred in the violation post to a female poster’s “ugly” treatment of me) but that too, went unanswered by the admin
"And yes, Clint is very old now. But he'd look better if he'd ditch the facial hair."
That's not Clint...anymore. That's Old Ben Gunn from Treasure Island.

Doubt it. Admins don't restrict people based on other's complaints.
So, are you saying this pic sums up your current situation?
Paulie's Pixel Palace
Of COURSE you deserve congratulations for your use of "poignancy"! People really pay no attention these days. For example, I am one of ONLY TWO PEOPLE here at IHub who uses the word "storey" correctly. As in "The shutters on the second storey of the house were blue."
Even spellcheck doesn't get that right.
And yes, Clint is very old now. But he'd look better if he'd ditch the facial hair.
To my knowledge, not at the same time, but another poster was restricted to one time a day several months prior and then another one maybe three or four weeks ago. One of the nastiest posters may also have been restricted his whole purpose, however was to just insult me so now they’re not posting much he has less incentive.
Surprisingly to me, the poster who dominates that board with his cut and paste postings day in day out year after year, full of lies and exaggerations, and insults towards other posters seems to get away Scott free. He’s a moderator too. Attempting to counter his views to supply honest balance to that board was one of the main reasons I posted so frequently. Fortunately, a few others have stepped up since my restriction
Although no one congratulated me for being the first IHUB member to use the word poignancy, I congratulate you for recently passing your 300,000th post mark!
BTW, I found this interesting tidbit on the interweb the other day:
Paulie's Pixel Palace
Were any other posters restricted, that you know of?
I do understand that. The thing is, I didn’t ask her about any specific violation at all. I asked her for some context regarding the restriction since to me, it was severe.
That’s a pretty big difference. It’s also an “until further notice” type of restriction so I’ve been left hanging with no idea when it will be removed. I like to give her the benefit of the doubt and think that it was just due to overwork. I don’t like to think unkind thoughts. I do think the board possibly reported me and lied about me to her so frequently that it possibly influenced her, but i hope that is t the case
Thanks for your opinions
It is only after all this time that I decided to post and see if ghosting is normal here on IHUB?
I don't really know if it is or not. I do know that Shelly is probably overworked. IHub used to have five admins; now it has only one, and that's Shelly. And certainly if either Shelly or Dave does reply to a complaint about deletions, and then is asked about the same violation again and again, they will stop replying. That only makes sense.
There wasn't a pattern of violations, nor of me requesting a review. I was always one of the more 'polite' posters on that board. I didn't complain..removals just weren't an issue as far as I knew.
There were 2 posts that spurred a warning from the admin, which i never saw, and which I would agree should have been removed. Then during the day she deleted some 5 or 6 out of possibly as many as 30 posts as that was a heavy day of posting (I don't recall that day but typically I might begin the day by exposing some contradictory or poor reasoning on that board re the company and some dozen or so posters would then proceed to attack me througout the day), but the posts she deleted were very minor violations imo....anyway I knew nothing of any of this until the end of the day when I discovered I couldn't post any more. I was restricted before I even knew I had been warned.
That's when I politely asked FOR THE FIRST TIME for an explanation and that I hadn't seen the warning and would have been more careful if I had. and when no response came I tried apologizing and explaining that I understood the violation rules, and then a few days later asked again what the reason was...While I was very surprised at the initial restriction in the first place, it is the ghosting that surprises me the most. I have sent several requests for clarification since that date and even one to Dave. All were ignored. I can only assume they simply see me as a pest but I was polite from the get go and have continued to be.
It is only after all this time that I decided to post and see if ghosting is normal here on IHUB?
The fact is that ghosting a paying member who is simply asking - FOR THE FIRST TIME - for an explanation - especially when he has a pretty good line of reasoning, is not appropriate.
Is it really the first time, or just the first time in that context? Had you argued about other deletions on that board? If you have a post deleted that you feel shouldn't have been deleted, the appropriate thing to do is request an admin review. If your post is restored, you can conclude that admin agreed it wasn't a violation; if it isn't restored, you can conclude that she believed it was a violation.
If the latter--and if you continue to have posts deleted--you need to figure out why that's happening. Usually it is not difficult. Then stop doing whatever it is, whether you agree with that aspect of the TOU or not. That will solve your problem.
Have you made any Admin Review requests? I'm betting not. As a mod, I concluded long ago that just about nobody does, because they'd rather complain publicly. And that will just lead to more post deletions.
You can rule out the conspiracy options.
I've seen that in articles posted at Yahoo and over websites where a symbol doesn't post correctly. It's not just IHub.
That is just bizarre.
3 and/or 4 are most plausible.
Overworked? IHUB installed a pickle-ball court in their parking lot.
Admins must have Sicilian Alzheimer's disease - they only remember the grudges.
Paulie's Pixel Palace
haha, another possibility is the admin is just is overworked..I think I know what the reason is but I don't like to assume to much, so I wont say...
Don't feel so bad. There's a member named Zardiw, who's been here for 23 years, moderates 24 boards, and is grandfathered and a paying customer - and he's still waiting for 2 years about answers about emojis.
Maybe you guys should get together and tag-team the Admins.
Paulie's Pixel Palace
you guys...come on..you must have missed my last reply, or you just want to win the argument.
I expect these kinds of comments from those who lack critical thinking skills, but not you Joby.
The fact is that ghosting a paying member who is simply asking - FOR THE FIRST TIME - for an explanation - especially when he has a pretty good line of reasoning, is not appropriate. I was shocked at the restriction but even more at the ghosting.
If you feel differently then so be it...that's what makes the world go around.
..
Now it is obvious what the problem is.
You said:
I do get your point but it is largely irrelevant.
Of course it’s relevant, and the fact you don’t think it is cements my point…
I feel sorry for you that you still don’t get it…
I do get your point but it is largely irrelevant. This is a business. It is unprofessional to ghost a paying customer especially when there was no PUSHING. I said that my INITIAL request for an explanation was ignored.
I know I push and push sometimes for clarity
And you still don’t get the dog-on-a-bone analogy, you just proved my point…
